Wildlife Centre, Competition Win
An initial team meeting with Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership, Yorkshire Water, and the Nidderdale Birdwatchers has reviewed the competition proposal. Design ideas are progressing in preparation for community consultation late September 2016. The Wildlife Centre will be sited below the existing viewing area that is located opposite the private car park adjacent to Gouthwaite reservoir. The existing open viewing point will be retained, to watch birds of prey and other species in the sky. Group Ginger’s design proposal provides inclusive access to nature allowing visitors to engage with their natural environment whilst protecting the habitat.
Group Ginger
Group ginger is a practice of architects. Our name derives from the political term, a ginger group. Ginger groups work to identify alternative ideas for the benefit of their host.
